  • Sarah Chudnow Community May Musical Events

    The Sarah Chudnow Community will host a number of community musical events this May. Individual performers include Bob Ropiak on May 6, Jack Zaffiro on May 13, Bob Miller on May 20 and Terry Morgenroth on May 27. A Senior Jamboree Concert will be held on May 21 and the Jewish holiday of Lag B’Omer will be celebrated on May 10 with music by Jeanette Crosswait and Doug Haise.

    The Sarah Chudnow Community will host a number of special events and speakers this May including a Mother’s Day community brunch; guest presentations on the Abayudaya Jews of Uganda; the life of Jews in the Shanghai, China, Ghetto circa WWII; and a look at the relationship between seniors and their adult children.   • Sarah Chudnow to Host Book Discussion by Wisconsin Author, Lisa Paul

    The Sarah Chudnow Community is hosting a book discussion led by Wisconsin native, Lisa Paul, on her new book, Swimming in the Daylight: An American Student, a Soviet Dissident, and the Gift of Hope. The discussion will be held on April 26 at 2 p.m. The historical memoir tells the story of Paul’s experience as an American college student working as a nanny in Moscow in the mid-1980s and her involvement in the fight for human rights in the former U.S.S.R.

  • Sarah Chudnow to Offer Seder and Meals to the Community for Passover

    The Sarah Chudnow Community will continue its tradition of hosting a community Passover Seder and providing kosher for Passover meals to the community during the Jewish holiday of Passover, April 6 through 14. The Seder meals are $18 per evening and will be served at 5:30 April 6 and 7. Additionally, evening Kosher for Passover meals will begin at 5:00 for the balance of the holiday for $17 each.

  • US News & World Report Names SCC Among Top Skilled Facilities

    Sarah Chudnow Community was named one of the top skilled nursing facilities in the country by US news & World Report in its roundup of 5-star skilled nursing facilities. According to the site, "All of the homes shown received 5 stars, the highest overall rating, from the federal government's Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.   • Large Turnout for Sarah Chudnow Community Voter Registration Event

    Mequon, WI—Every autumn the Sarah Chudnow Community celebrates the Jewish holiday Sukkot with a “Pizza in the Hut” event, where pizza is served in the Sukkah – Hebrew for “hut” – constructed to symbolize the miraculous "clouds of glory" that surrounded and hovered over the Jewish people to provide shelter from the dangers and discomforts of the desert.   • Sarah Chudnow Hosts Congressional Forum

    Sarah Chudnow Campus hosted a forum with Rep. James Sensenbrenner [R] and challenger Todd Kollosso [D] for Wisconsin's 5th Congressional district on Monday, October 11. This was the first meeting of both candidates, and the public was invited to attend. Light refreshments were served.

  • Women's Health Fair

    The public is invited to attend the Women's Health Fair, Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2010, from 1-4 pm at the Sarah Chudnow Campus Town Center in Mequon, Wis. Representatives from more than 20 organizations will be on hand to answer questions and provide advice for women of all ages. Topics to be covered include general health care, home care, fitness, back and foot care, homeopathic medicine, and other health and lifestyle concerns.

  • Kerri Livermore Appointed as Director of Nursing

    Sarah Chudnow Campus, a senior living community located in Mequon, Wisconsin, has appointed Kerri Livermore, R.N., MHA., as its new director of nursing services. Livermore comes to Sarah Chudnow Campus from Extendicare, where she was the director of nursing for the past three years. Prior to that she served as director of nursing and director of clinical services for the Lutheran Home.

  • Excellent Survey Results for Sarah Chudnow

    Sarah Chudnow Campus earned a "cite-free" federal health services survey from the Wisconsin Division of Quality Assurance (DQA) in their 2010 annual evaluation of skilled nursing facilities (SNF). Sarah Chudnow Campus Rehabilitation Center was found to be in substantial compliance with all federal health care regulations.
